CARMA was created and continues to provide continuing education on research methods and data analysis for organizational and social sciences, offering programs delivered in-person and via the internet. CARMA’s Short Courses and Workshops have been offered since 2000 by Dr. Williams and his distinguished set of Short Course Instructors in several locations, including internationally in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangalore, UAE, Denmark, The Netherlands, Peru, Chile, Brazil, Spain, Italy, Germany, United Kingdom, and Canada. Within the US, Short Courses have been offered at Virginia Commonwealth University, Boston College, and Wayne State Universities. CARMA’s internet-based programs, began in 2004, follow an institutional membership model through which faculty and students from member schools get access to live and recorded lectures from the CARMA Video Library. The Video Library now has over 150 one-hour recorded lectures delivered by leading methodologists. Over the years, CARMA has annually delivered its programs to over 125 member schools, domestically and globally. CARMA has partnered in the delivery of programs and events with the Academy of Management, Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Academy of International Business, and Southern Management Association. An exciting new program for 2019-2020 is the AOM CARMA Doctoral Student Development Program, through which over 8000 doctoral student members of the Academy of Management will have access to the CARMA Video Library.
Dr. Williams will be assisted during 2019-2020 at the Rawls College of Business by Ezgi Ulusoy Dogan (Assistant Director for Technology), Shilani Singh (Marketing/Member Relations Coordinator) and Lauren Iwu (Events Coordinator). Other members of the CARMA team include Andrew Blake, Andrew Hanna, with additional administrative and technical support provided by Nikki Bohannon, Michaela Gerik, and Matthew Winfree.
