Session I Discussion Board: June 2025 Live Online Short Courses

We’re excited to have you with us for a week of learning, discovery, and connection. One of the best ways to get the most out of this experience is by engaging with others in your course—and that’s where this discussion board comes in!

Use this space to introduce yourself and connect with fellow participants. Not sure what to share? A few good conversation starters include:

  • Your name and institution/organization

  • Your current role or education level

  • Your research interests or methods you're hoping to learn more about

We look forward to seeing your intros and conversations unfold—let’s make this a great learning community!

THANK YOU!

Greetings, I hope you have enjoyed your course and that your last day has gone well! Let me begin with special thanks to your instructors. I usually pop to express my gratitude in person, but I'm not sure if I can make it, so I'm posting this just in case. SO THANK YOU, INSTRUCTORS!

Three other key points:

  • First, your multiple-choice assessment can be accessed on your course resource page (with the other links). EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED IN OUR ASSESSMENT ACHIEVEMENT, OR COURSE CREDIT, IT WOULD REALLY HELP US IF YOU COMPLETED THE ASSESSMENT. THIS IS OUR FIRST TIME WITH THIS PROCESS, AND WE NEED TO GET YOUR FEEDBACK.
  • Second, your short course evaluation can be accessed on your event page (with all the other links). PLEASE TAKE 2-3 MINUTES TO COMPLETE- AND SUGGESTIONS FOR HOW WE CAN IMPROVE YOUR EXPERIENCE ARE WELCOME. We especially encourage your feedback on assessments and the discussion board, as we are working on making improvements to these areas as part of our system upgrade. We were eager to use these features for Session I; we appreciate your patience as we worked out access issues.
