CARMA Affiliate Program Individual Memberships

CARMA Affiliate Programs are non-funded programs offered in partnership with professional associations and management-related groups whose focus is educating faculty and graduate students on discipline-appropriate research methods. Affiliate Program Individual Membership provides complimentary access to a limited set of CARMA’s research methods education resources.

These resources include live events and their recordings, covering both quantitative and qualitative topics at introductory and advanced levels. CARMA presenters are among the best in the field, including current and former editors, associate editors, and editorial board members from top journals such as ORM, AMJ, JAP, ASQ, JOM, JOB, OBHDP, and Personnel Psychology. Many are also recipients of AOM-RMD Distinguished Career and Early Career Awards and are active contributors to research methods scholarship on the topics they teach.

For the 2025-2026 CARMA Affiliate Program, available resources come from five categories:

The Methods Review Watch Series features eight recordings from the CARMA Video Library, selected to help participants review important research methods topics—especially helpful for those preparing for comprehensive exams. Each session includes background readings, a live-streamed lecture, a Q&A with a Discussant, and a Discussion Board.

The series began in June 2021 as the Summer Watch Series at the University of Minnesota, proposed by Elizabeth Campbell, Betty Zhou, and Chris Winchester. Their aim was to create informal opportunities for people interested in research methods to learn and connect.

Sessions will be held on August 5, 7, 12, and 14, with morning and afternoon options for live viewing. Dates were chosen to avoid conflicts with other CARMA events, RMD programming, and the AOM Conference.
