- Introduction to QCA w/Roel Rutten (Tilburg University)
A day-long ground-up introduction to Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA) and fuzzy sets designed for those who are newer to QCA and/or wish to refresh their knowledge. This workshop focuses on the analytic foundations of the method and its distinctive ontological and epistemological perspective. By the end of the workshop, you will understand the types of research questions that QCA can and cannot answer and will be able to design and execute research projects using QCA. - Basic R Training w/Adrian Duşa (University of Bucharest
A half-day (morning) introduction for those without previous experience with the QCA for R package. By the end of the workshop, you will be able to conduct a basic QCA using R. - Advanced R Training w/Adrian Duşa (University of Bucharest)
A half-day (afternoon) advanced training for those with prior experience with the QCA for R package, and those who have completed the morning’s basic training. Get answers to all of your most pressing questions about the QCA package for R by its author, Adrian Duşa. Professor Duşa will provide detailed procedures of how to perform QCA with R, and discuss alternative methodological solutions to various research situations, using the latest developments in the R package, in both written command and the embedded graphical user interface.
