Ask-the-Experts Panels

CARMA membership includes a benefit for participating faculty and students, the option to join one or more ask-the-experts panels. These sessions will meet three times a year and those registered may attend events for all groups. Ask-the-experts panels are established to meet student and faculty researchers’ needs not currently met by Webcast Lecture Series (and its recordings in the CARMA Video Library) and Short Courses. This benefit is available on-demand for basic institutional members and live and on-demand for premium institutional members.

Ask-the-Experts panels supplement other CARMA programs by providing:

  1. Instruction on specialized research methods topics via Tutorials
  2. Access to guidance from noted methodologists through panels
  3. Discussion of current research methods articles via review sessions
  4. Opportunity to meet and interact with others sharing similar interests

How to Access Live and Online Ask-the-Experts Panels (Institutional Members):
  • No registration is needed.
  • Login to your CARMA account.
  • Once you login, you will see a section “Active Meetings” under the “Access Live Events” tab.
  • Access link will be available one hour before the event in this section.
How to Access Live and Online Ask-the-Experts Panels (CARMA-AOM Affiliate Program Members):
  • To access the program, sign-in to your AOM account.
  • Click on your name at the top.
  • In the information area click the CARMA globe logo.
  • When prompted click “Access CARMA” button.
  • This button will take you to Affiliate Program Access page.
  • On the Access page follow the instructions for accessing live events.

How to Access Live and Online Ask-the-Experts Panels (Other Affiliate Program Members):

  • Sign-up as a Website User in the CARMA Portal on the CARMA homepage (If you are not already a CARMA Website User).
  • Access the Website User Area in the CARMA Portal on the CARMA homepage.
  • Once you login, in the CARMA User Area, under the “Register/Purchase” tab, select the “Register for Special Collections” link.
  • Select the appropriate collection, type the discount code provided on the “Access Page”, and Checkout.
  • In the CARMA User Area, under the “Access Live Events” tab, click the “Join” buttons a few minutes before the events.
