Hi! My name is Amrit Panda, and I’m a third-year PhD student in the Management department at Texas Tech University, with a research focus on strategy and entrepreneurship. My work sits at the intersection of market formation, executive psychology, and entrepreneurial action, often drawing from sociological and cognitive perspectives.
I’m also serving as the TA for this short course with Dr. Greckhamer. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything or want to connect further!
Feel free to introduce yourself here. Looking forward to meeting everyone!
Nice to meet you, Amrit. Hello everyone, I'm Amanda Sargent, Assistant Professor of Management at Bentley University in Waltham, MA (just outside Boston), USA. My research broadly examines structural (in)equality in organizations - the policies, processes, and practices that can create, perpetuate, or dismantle experiences of (in)equality in organizations - and leadership. I do a lot of work focusing on gender and its intersection with race and social class, and my leadership research is focused on leader behavior concepts. At Bentley, I teach organizational behavior at the undergraduate level and leadership to MBAs.
Hi Amanda,
Great to meet you! Your work sounds incredibly thoughtful, especially the intersectional lens on inequality and leadership. I’ve been exploring some related themes in my own research, particularly how socioeconomic status shapes entrepreneurial industry selection. Really looking forward to learning more from your perspective throughout the course.
